Diego da Silva Costa (born on 7th October 1988) is a Brazilian born footballer who is currently a Spanish international. He recently represented Spain in the World Cup 2014 where they have been knocked out in group stages courtesy their lose to Chile and Netherlands.
He began his footballing career at Barga in Portugal and later joined Athletico Madrid in 2007. Later he was loaned to Barga again and from there to Celta and Albacete before being sold to Valladolid in 2009. He later joined Athletico Madrid in 2010 where he was brilliant in goal scoring as he notched up 27 goals in 2013/14 season leading his team to La liga title.
The Spanish star joined Chelsea this year for a whopping amount of £32 million. He had a great start at Chelsea, scoring 7 goals in the first 4 games tearing the opponent's defense apart.
He has been described by pundits as a player whose main attributes are his physicality, goalscoring and ability to keep possession.
